PORTALES, N.M. – The Eastern New Mexico women’s basketball team has officially announced the signing of Taylor Hall during the fall signing period on Wednesday.
A native of Gilbert, Ariz., Hall is a 5’9″ guard in her senior season at Casteel High School in Queen Creek, Ariz. Last season for the Colts, Hall averaged 14 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 3.1 steals per game, garnering second team all-region honors and all-conference accolades.
“We are very excited to announce the signing of Taylor Hall,” said head coach Josh Prock. “We feel Taylor is one of the best guards in the state of Arizona. As we continue to elevate our program, Taylor is someone who will bring a lot of versatility to our team. She is an explosive guard who can get to the basket and is very good from the three-point line. She is very good in transition and because of her skill level she is able to make a lot of things happen for her teammates.”
Hall brings a lot to the table both athletically and academically for the Hounds, as she was also a two-time state track-and-field qualifier while also being a three-year member of National Honors Society and a four-year honor roll student.
“We as a coaching staff continue to look for young ladies who we feel will be future leaders in our program and with her work ethic and character, she embodies everything we want in a leader,” said Prock. “She also is a tremendous student and is very involved in many other extracurricular activities outside of basketball. Taylor is an extremely well-rounded young lady. We can’t wait to get her here and start working with her. Please join us all and welcoming her to the ENMU family.”
