PORTALES, N.M. – The Eastern New Mexico women’s basketball program continued to add on to its strong spring signing class as the Hounds have inked Natalie DeLonge, a graduate transfer from Western Oregon to join the Greyhounds for the 2019-20 season.

“It is with a lot of enthusiasm that we announce the signing of Natalie DeLonge,” said ENMU head coach Josh Prock. “This past off-season, we knew we needed to add some experience in our front court with the loss of Shelby Jones and Treyanna Clay. We found out about Natalie through a coaching friend and the minute we watched her film, we knew she was exactly what we needed.

DeLonge comes to ENMU after a terrific three-year career with the Western Oregon Wolves. DeLonge led the WOU scoring efforts last season, averaging 15.1 points per game while also leading the team with 7.5 rebounds per game and finished second on the squad with 27 blocks. The 6’4″ forward was an effective shooter for the Wolves, going 150-for-352 (42.6 percent) from the field while also shooting a very effective 92-of-116 (79.3 percent) from the foul line to earn All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference Second Team accolades while also becoming a two-time GNAC All-Academic Team recipient.

“Natalie is a very skilled post player,” Prock added. “She is able to score with her back to the basket with a variety of moves and she can hit the open 17-foot shot. Natalie is a very physical style post player and is able to make things happen for her teammates as well, she is a very unselfish player. We are thankful she chose ENMU to continue her basketball career and even though we only have her for one year, we do know she will do great things for us this next season.

The Klamath Falls, Ore. native is officially the fourth signee this spring for the Greyhounds, joining local Portales product Taylee Rippee, Division I transfer Jasmine Williams, and Rio Rancho High School standout Julia Chavez. With the addition of Arizona high school star Taylor Hall that was signed on during the fall signing period, Eastern will have five new faces join the squad next season.
