Women’s Basketball Ranked Eighth in D2SIDA Regional Poll

The Eastern New Mexico women’s basketball team moves to No. 8 in the latest D2SIDA South Central Regional Poll, released by the conference office Monday morning.

The Hounds experienced mixed results last week which pushes them to a 10-4 overall record and a 4-4 mark in Lone Star Conference play. Eastern tipped off the week with a 61-46 victory over Western New Mexico before dropping an extremely competitive game 71-63 to UT Permian Basin.

The Green and Silver return to Greyhound Arena this weekend with the opportunity to catapult themselves up the regional rankings if they can secure some wins. The Greyhounds host the No. 1 ranked team in the nation in Lubbock Christian on Thursday followed by the No. 6 team in the South Central Region, Angelo State that Saturday.
