COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Eastern New Mexico women’s basketball moved into a tie for the No. 6 spot in the Week 6 D2SIDA South Central Regional Poll.

This marks the seventh straight rankings that the Hounds have been represented in during the 2019-20 season. Eastern shares the No. 6 spot with Fort Lewis, a team they beat 69-62 in a road contest on Nov. 9 of last year.

The Green and Silver posted a 60-49 victory over UAFS in their LSC home opener and followed that with a 80-69 win over Oklahoma Christian before taking two weeks off for Christmas break. Despite mounting a late run, the Greyhounds dropped a tough game to West Texas A&M last Saturday, a team who sits at No. 4 spot in the South Central Region.

The Hounds are on the road this weekend and will face Western New Mexico Thursday at 5:30 p.m. before taking the hardwood against UT Permian Basin Saturday at 1 p.m.
