Event Overview

A storm system and cold front will move into northern New Mexico tonight then slide southward into southeast New Mexico Thanksgiving Day, where it will linger Friday and possibly Friday night, before exiting into Texas. There is considerable uncertainty how this system will evolve and there is potential for the storm to track a little farther west as it travels through New Mexico. Colder temperatures Thanksgiving Day and Friday, along with strong north winds tonight and Thursday, as more certain for the east. Greatest snowfall may focus over east central and southeast New Mexico Thursday night through Friday but confidence is low on exact amounts.
