COMMERCE, TEXAS — The duo of Scott Wesselink and Ezra Bagwell opened competition for the Eastern New Mexico University outdoor track & field team, Thursday, in Commerce, Texas. The duo began competition in the decathlon on the first day of the Lone Star Conference Championship meet.
Wesselink registered his best performance of the day, with a fourth-place finish in the shot put. His throw of 36′-2.75″ was nearly 3′ further than TAMU-C’s Robert Woods and earned 548 points towards his decathlon total. He also earned 771 points with a sixth-place finish in the 100m dash.
The Greyhounds will continue competition in the Lone Star Conference outdoor championship meet on Friday.
