A welcome was given by Beverly Bennett on a stage that looked like it belonged in a Hallmark movie which included a very special dedication to Altrusan Judy White who passed away this year. A luncheon was served by Sodexho while a Micah Thompson narrated a Holiday Style show sponsored by Dillards. The tables were sponsored by various groups throughout the community.
A silent auction table was packed with Holiday Goodies/Gifts which participants kept the bidding going until the last moment. The proceeds from Holiday Happening will be used by Altrusa for projects in our community. Some of Altrusa’s ongoing projects are: a book is given to every second grader in Roosevelt County, Meals on Wheels, College Scholarships, Sight for Life and Learning eyeglasses, Decorations for downtown Portales, Imagination Library, Toys for Hartley House, Items donated to Heartland continuing Care Residents.
The Christmas season would not be complete without Holiday Happening! Mark your calendar for December 5, 2020
