PORTALES, N.M – After leading the Eastern New Mexico men’s soccer team to the best season in program history, senior Julian Trapp and junior Gabriel Peres were named to the 2019 United Soccer Coaches D-II All-South Central Third Team.

This marks the second post season award for the two soccer players as Trapp earned All-LSC Third Team recognition while Peres received Second Team honors.

Trapp, the 6-4 forward from Selm, Germany, appeared in all 18 games this season and made 16 starts. He finished second on the team in scoring with 15 points on six goals and three assists. Trapp tallied 22 shots on goal, the fourth-highest mark in the Lone Star and recorded 35 total shots which ranked 12th amongst conference competitors. Trapp netted a pair of game winners with both coming against nationally ranked opponents. The first came against #17 Colorado Mesa and recorded his second game-winner in a comeback victory against #13 Midwestern State.

Peres, the 5-11 midfielder from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, played in 11 games during the 2019 campaign and finished third on the team with three goals scored. Peres totaled 17 shots with nine shots making it on goal for a .529 shots on goal percentage, earning his fourth postseason award in the past two seasons.
