“The team competed hard this weekend but didn’t see some of the performances we will be looking for,” said Head Track & Field Coach Jeff Kavalunas. “There are some technical adjustments we will make in several events to be ready. I though Lee (Seema) and Devis (Cheruiyot) had solid performances in the 800, Mohamed (Megeno) had a personal best in the 200, and Emily (Martinez) also posted a personal best in the 200” said Kavalunas.
Eastern New Mexico head back to Canyon, Texas for its next meet, the Jo Meaker Classic and Multis. The three-day competition begins on Thursday, Apr. 7, and concludes on Saturday, Apr. 9, on the campus of West Texas A&M.
