SANTA FE – The state Supreme Court live streams oral arguments on Wednesday in a case that will allow students to learn about the judicial system.
Justice David K. Thomson will meet with about 580 students at nine schools in Albuquerque, Grants and Santa Fe through early April to answer questions about the Court’s hearing and the role of the judiciary.
The live stream of the arguments will be archived, which enables teachers to incorporate the Supreme Court proceeding into their class schedules over the next several weeks. The justice will speak with students through online video conferencing.
At Wednesday’s hearing, the Court will consider a legal question of whether results of a blood alcohol test can be used as evidence in a DWI prosecution in San Juan County. The case is State v. Adams, S-1-SC-37722. Oral arguments start at 9 a.m. Click here to view the hearing.
