Our society constantly pushes us to be bigger and better than the next person. We are taught to give our best, but that sometimes our best isn’t good enough.
Our bibles teach us something different though.
“…”My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 NLT
God has always come through in the weakest of times, to get His children through them.
The tiniest stone made a giant fall.
5 loaves and 2 fish fed a whole crowd.
The key is letting God use us where we are, who we are, as we are.
Maybe you’re a mom who sings songs about the Lord, or a dad spending time with his family. Maybe you’re a pastor at a tiny little Church, who has spent 40 years loving on the broken and the hurt. It’s things like this that can change the world.
It’s visiting the widow down the street, or spending your Friday with a friend who has special needs.
There’s nothing wrong with dreaming big and living life to be better than you were yesterday. It’s just important to see the small moments on your way there.
You don’t have to do it all. You just need to help in the little ways only you can. Keep serving, keep loving, keep listening and learning. Keep praying, seeking, and searching. God will meet you where you are. You don’t even have to go halfway. Take small steps and allow Him to take the big ones.
God will meet you where you are in order to take you where He wants you to go. Let Him use you. Let Him change your community through you. Let Him change the world through you.
