“Portales City Administration requests that Residents temporarily STOP outdoor water usage (gardens, lawns, car washing, pools, other outside water usage) starting Saturday, July 18, 2020 and extending through Tuesday, July 21, 2020. The summer weather has been brutal and the City’s water system has been challenged by more daily demand than the system can handle without having time to recharge.
