Thursday, May 11 at 3 p.m., the New Mexico Energy Minerals and Natural Resources Department’s Forestry Division will participate in a webinar presented in conjunction with Fire Adapted Communities NM (FACNM) and the Forest Stewards Guild. 

Jacob Pederson will discuss this year’s updates pertaining to New Mexico’s forests and watersheds, as well as upcoming funding opportunities. Tune in to hear about Forestry Division’s role before, during and after fire, the Prescribed Fire Act and certified burner training, proposal preparations for the summer Community Wildfire Defense Grants (CWDG) deadlines, and how the state is innovating, leading and staying involved with fire preparedness and recovery efforts.
