PORTALES, NM – Eastern New Mexico football offensive lineman Hunter St. John was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team in Super Region 4. St. John is the first Greyhound since 2010 to earn the honor.
St. John has been a key member of the ENMU offensive line as he played in 10 contests for the Hounds this season. Throughout his time at Eastern, St. John has earned a spot on the Lone Star Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll every semester.
In order to be considered for the CoSIDA Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current institution and nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team’s games at the position listed on the nomination form.
St. John will now move on to the ballot for CoSIDA Academic All-America consideration. First and secondteam Academic AllAmerica® honorees will be announced in midDecember.
