Memorial services for Sonja Gardner, 83, currently of Lubbock, TX will be at 2:00 PM (CST) on Mon., Oct. 10, 2022 at the Highland Baptist Church, Corner of 34th and Quaker Ave. in Lubbock, with Rev. Adam Pardue officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tues, Oct. 11, 2022 in the Portales Cemetery with Rev. Steve Beebe officiating. Jack Merrick, Karre Haddeland, Douglas Beebe, Steve Beebe, Troy Hinton and Jim Duncan will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Sonja Ann Gardner was born on Nov. 26, 1938 in Lubbock, TX at the home of Vivian (Martin) and Sam Beebe. She died surrounded by loved ones on Oct. 6, 2022 in Lubbock, TX. As her beautiful soul shined so bright in this world, the Lord climbed down the stairs of Heaven and reached for Sonja’s hand. Together they went to Heaven hand in hand.
Sonja Ann married the love of life Kermit Gardner on January 17, 1958. Together they had two loving children, Diane Reynolds and Dale Gardner. She had 1 granddaughter, Robyn Arnold and two adorable grandchildren, Charlotte Ann and Cheyenne Rose Arnold. Sonja was a strong, fierce woman of God who loved the Lord and her loved ones with all her heart. Praying, laughing, and loving her way through life.
Sonja was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Kermit, who died Mar. 21,2001.
Sonja is survived by her children Dale and Penny Gardner of Lubbock, Texas, Diane and Jerry Reynolds of Conroe, TX, her brothers Mike and Jackie Beebe of Kingston, Ok, Sammy and Susie Jo Beebe of Meridian, TX and loving nieces, nephews, cousins and 1 grandchild and 2 great grandchildren.
Sonja Ann Gardner will truly be missed and in our hearts forever.
