The 2018 regular season will kick-off Thursday evening at 7 p.m. as the Eastern New Mexico Women’s soccer team will take on St. Mary’s University inside Greyhound Stadium.

Head coach Josh Smith will be making his sideline debut for the Hounds and will be looking to continue the progress the program has made in the past few seasons. The Hounds return to the pitch for the first time since their appearance in the Lone Star Conference Championship Semi-Finals last season and will be seeking a return trip to postseason play.

Twins Keyara and Hayden Zuniga return as the team’s two All-Conference performers from a season ago and will be anxious to combine their defensive pressure with a young core of offensive weapons to get the season started out on a high note. The Hounds and Rattlers met once last season in an instant classic that saw St. Mary’s take the 2-1 victory in overtime.
