Portales, NM-May 14-The Eastern New Mexico University Department of Public Safety received a report of shots fired near San Juan Village Apartments around 5:52 p.m. MST.
Law Enforcement located a juvenile victim who had departed the scene prior to their arrival. The juvenile was treated for non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the incident.
The Eastern New Mexico University Department of Public Safety has identified person(s) of interest at this time. The case is being actively investigated and information regarding a potential motive is not being made available at this time.
No ENMU students of the ENMU Portales campus were injured as a result of the incident.
