Roosevelt County War Memorial paver orders being accepted
The Roosevelt County War Memorial Committee announced that walkway paver orders are being accepted for placement in time for Memorial Day 2018. Orders placed before May 15 can be included.
The walkway portion of the memorial honors all veterans, while the monument stones them- selves honor the county’s war dead. The pavers are $125 each and include five lines of up to 20 characters per line..
Legacy Monuments of Portales recently completed installation of new benches at the War Me- morial site on the southeast corner of the courthouse square. Since the original group of pavers had sold out, two new groups of walkway pavers were installed so that families could continue to honor their loved ones.
To purchase a paver stop by the Roosevelt County Chamber of Commerce at 100 S. Ave. A or call (575) 356-8541. Checks should be made out to Roosevelt County War Memorial.
The Roosevelt County War Memorial will have a walkway available for engraved paving bricks appropriate for honoring a loved one’s service.
