On June 6, 2018 Deputies with the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 1600 South Globe in Portales, NM, looking for stolen property and Ruben Lozano (47) of Portales. Mr. Lozano had an outstanding warrant for failure to appear based on conditions of release for the original charge of Trafficking a controlled substances. During the execution of the search warrant the stolen property was located in the garage and Mr. Lozano was located in a bedroom inside of the residence and arrested on the outstanding arrest warrant. Briana Parrish (31) of Portales was also located inside the same bedroom and was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of Trafficking a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Ronnie Lujan (20) of Portales was also located inside the residence. Mr. Lujan was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant for failure to pay fines or costs previously imposed by the court.
A second search warrant was executed on the residence and deputies located a stolen AK47 rifle, approximately 4 ounces of methamphetamine, a small amount of Heroin, a small amount of Marijuana, digital scales and other items of paraphernalia. Ruben Lozano was subsequently charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine (by possession with intent to distribute second or subsequent offence (1st degree felony), Possession of controlled substance (4th degree felony), Receiving stolen property (4th degree felony), Possession of a firearm or destructive device by a felon (4th degree felony), retaining stolen property (firearm 4th degree felony), and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor).
Briana Parrish was subsequently charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine by possession with intent to distribute 1st offense (2nd degree felony), Possession of a controlled substance (4th degree Felony), and Possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor).
Ramon Lozano (56) of Portales was subsequently charged with Trafficking methamphetamine by possession with intent to distribute 1st offense (2nd Degree felony), receiving stolen property (4th degree felony), possession of marijuana (Petty Misdemeanor), and possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor).
The case is still under investigation and more charges could be pending.
