The Floyd Broncos hosted Elida for a Roosevelt County basketball matchup on April 27, 2021 at 5 PM. There was a decent crowd present for the game, ready to watch the boys battle it out.
Elida quickly took the lead and by the end of the first period, they had set a dominating lead over Floyd. The score going into the 2nd was 19-5.
Floyd did manage to tack on more points in the 2nd, but couldn’t stop the Tigers. By halftime, the score was 52-24, leaving the Broncos with a huge deficit to overcome.
Floyd fought even harder after halftime to overcome their deficit, but Elida kept the points coming. The Tigers managed to keep on top of the score, and won 69-42.
The Tigers finished their shortened season 10-1, while Floyd finished 4-4 after this final game.
