Portales, NM: The Roosevelt County 4-H program is hosting a Youth Photography Clinic this Saturday, July 14, at the Historic Yam Theater in Portales. This event is free and open to all youth, ages 5-18.
Wes Underwood, the photography coordinator for Southplains College in Texas, will be leading the digital photography clinic. The clinic will include instruction in the morning, and then a chance to put newly acquired knowledge to use in photo shoots around Portales. Morning instruction will cover digital photography basics, functions of your camera, and how to properly compose an eye catching image.
Although the event is free, we ask that your child brings a sack lunch. Lunches can also be purchased through the Do Drop In for a special price of $5.00 for event participants.
Although the event is sponsored by Roosevelt County 4-H, youth do not need to be enrolled in the 4-H program or residents of Roosevelt County to participate. To enroll your child, please contact the Roosevelt County Extension Office at (575) 356-4417.
