The Eastern New Mexico rodeo program traveled to the Vernon College Rodeo this past weekend.

Shacie Marr put up a time of 7.8 seconds in the first go of goat tying, which was good for second. In the short go, she recorded a time of 8.7 seconds to place sixth in the average.

Marr also made it to the short go in barrel racing after clocking in at 14.49 seconds in the first go.

On the men’s side, Kyler Bell made it to the short go in team roping after recording a time of 6.7 seconds in the first go. His teammate missed in the short to keep them from placing.

The rodeo team competes next at the Frank Phillips College Rodeo from October 7-9.
