The Roosevelt County Road Department will be completing the workplan on North Roosevelt Road A, between NM 348 and North Roosevelt Road 1. They will begin chipsealing the week of Aug. 21, weather permitting and will complete the final phase of this project in September with the application of a micro-seal coating. This roadway project is being reconstructed back to pavement as per the County’s 5-year Road Improvement Plan and is funded in part with Transportation Project Fund.
The crew will them mobilize to complete chipsealing of Highlands from US 70 for approximately 1.5 miles on Monday, Aug. 28, and is scheduled to be completed by Aug. 31, weather permitting. This roadway project is being enhanced from caliche to chipseal as per the County`s 5-year Road Improvement Plan and is funded in part with Local Government Road Fund grant monies. They will complete the scheduled rounds of chipsealing on South Roosevelt Road 6 from Industrial Drive to South Roosevelt Road U for approximately 1 mile by Sept. 8, and will complete the final phase of this project in September with the application of a micro-seal coating. The roadway is being reconstructed back to pavement through a joint partnership between the County and City government entities, and local business leaders.
