A graveside service for Reynaldo Sanchez Ornelas, Jr., 39, of Portales will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 20, 2021, at the Portales Cemetery with Raul Ornelas officiating. Viewing will be on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Reynaldo Sanchez Ornelas, Jr. passed away on March 15, 2021, in Amarillo. He was born on April 28, 1981, in Portales to the home of Shirley Jo (Sanchez) and Reynaldo Ornelas, Sr. Reynaldo was born and raised in Portales and began working in the sprinkler and irrigation business at the age of 15. He began working for the dairy transport companies as a truck driver when he was 21. He really enjoyed woodworking and loved riding his motorcycle.
Reynaldo is survived by his girlfriend, Sarah Baca; his son, Reynaldo Ornelas, III; his daughter, Mikaela Rae Ornelas; his sister, Marina Madrigal and his mother, Shirley Ornelas.
He was preceded in death by father, Reynaldo Ornelas, Sr. and his grandparents, Crespin and Maria Ornelas and Dorothy and Joe Sanchez, Jr.
