Raychel Jean Randle was born Oct. 20, 1942 in San Diego, CA to the home of Mary Ruth (Walker) and Jesse John Randle and died at her home in Portales early on the morning of Nov. 2, 2021. Raychel grew up in Portales and was a 1960 graduate of Portales High School. On Jan. 26, 1963 in Clovis, she was married to Joel Ware. The couple had four children together before divorcing in the late 1980’s. From 1981 until 1983, Raychel attended nursing school through E.N.M.U. She worked in numerous hospitals throughout New Mexico and west Texas. At one time she was employed as a nurse at the New Mexico State Penitentiary. She often stated that those experiences with the prisoners were the most impacting of her career. Raychel had been retired for more than 20 years.
Ms Randle enjoyed painting and knitting, as well as doing embroidery work. She loved listening to music, and was an excellent baker. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Portales.
She is survived by a son, Robert John Ware of Seattle, WA; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jeanene and Bill McCarty of Belfair, WA and Renee and Miguel Reza of Corona, NM; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and another one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Linda Milberry and Carolyn Randle and by a son, Robert Joel Ware, Jr.
