RATE INCREASE EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2019
During the August 27, 2018 Board meeting the Directors voted unanimously to approve a rate increase. This is the first Co-op implemented rate increase since 2012. All other increases have been supplier (City of Portales) rate changes that were merely passed along to members.
The increase will be used to help better maintain the water system, as well as continue to keep the Co-op operating in a positive manner. The approved increase is as follows: 10% base water rate increase and 15% per thousand gallons. This will increase a minimum user’s monthly bill by approximately $4.30. Pending any rate increases from the City of Portales, which will have to be passed along to members, this will be the Co-op’s only rate increase until further notice.
