Portales Boys and Girls basketball teams traveled to Artesia for a class 4A district matchup on February 8.
The girls played first at 5:30, and trailed the entire game. At half, the Lady Rams deficit was 8 points behind Artesia. The final score was 66-58, leaving Portales with another road game loss. The Lady Rams are now 10-11 this season, and 1-1 in district.
The boys game followed at 7pm in Artesia. They also struggled and were behind the entire game. The halftime score was 23-20 in Artesia’s favor. The final score was 54-47. Leaving the Rams with a 12-9 season, and 0-2 in district.
