The Portales Rams hosted Pojoaque Valley Elks in a non-conference football game at 7 PM on Friday. The game was at Greyhound Stadium in Portales with hundreds of fans in attendance.
By the end of just one quarter, Portales had added 21 points to the scoreboard and held off the Elks from scoring.
The game continued in the same fashion, with the halftime score 34-0, with the Rams in the lead. Portales defense was the star of the game, defending against Pojoaque Valley and preventing the Elks from scoring even a single point.
By the end of the game, Portales was ahead 54-0, sending Pojoaque Valley home with a tough loss.
Portales is now 6-0 this season. Their next game is October 1st in Albuquerque against Valley High at 1 PM.
