Tuesday our golf teams played in a tournament in Clovis. Janae Hale placed 2nd. in tournament overall for the girls with a score of 88. Kaitlynne Underbrink shot a 112. Kinzie Davis shot 120. Kiki Helsley shot 123 and Mattison Blakey shot 126.
Janae Hale ended the day with her 2nd. qualifying leg. The girls as a team ended up with a total score of 443. We were 15 shots away from getting a team leg.
Our next tournament is in Texico this Friday. We believe that Janae will get her third qualifying leg on Friday in Texico. A team leg is definitely a possibility. All the girls are getting better each time they compete. They all work hard in practice and are realizing the areas in which they could improve their scores. With each tournament we learn a little more and our strategy is to identify the areas where we can shave shots off during tournament play. I think we will see a lot of improvements to the short game at the next tournament. It is a good year for Ram Girls Golf!
