Coaches Report by Candra Reynolds
The girls ( Janae Hale, Kaitlynne Underbrink, Kinzie Davis, Mattison Blakey, Kiki Helsley) played at the Farwell Golf Course today as the Texico Wolverines hosted the tournament. We had a great day with beautiful weather. As a team the girls came off the course with a team total of 405 which gets the girls their first qualifying leg.
Janae Hale finished the day with an 84. She had the best score of the day! Janae has all of her qualifying legs and she has a secure spot to represent Portales in competition in Farmington at Pinion Hills for the State tournament. As a team we will need two more legs. I believe we have a great opportunity to get our second team leg on Tuesday as we travel to Roswell to play Spring River.
These girls are determined and dedicated athletes. I am blessed to have the opportunity to coach, encourage and support them. Very proud of all of them!
