The Portales Rams had an away game on April 9 against non-district team, Eunice. The Rams were able to hold Eunice to a slow start while adding runs to their own score. Portales allowed 3 runs in the 4th, the 6th, and the 7th innings however. Luckily for the Rams, they had a dominating 6th inning that resulted in 8 runs. The final score of the game was 15-9 for Portales, and the Rams are now 8-6 this season.
Unfortunately, they are ranked no. 15 in NM Class 4A baseball. With district still looking ahead, Portales has some strides to reach in order to bump their place in the rankings and be ready for some tough competition ahead.
