FOOTBALL
In a powerful defensive first half the Rams gave up one score to the Moriarty Pintos but couldn’t get on the board.  Going into the third quarter with the score 7-0 and quickly trailing 13-0, the Rams had to come back from earlier offensive and special team mistakes.

Darion Ontiveros did just that taking a hand off and running for a 48 yard touchdown.  The Rams offensive momentum kicked into gear and the Rams started the fourth quarter trailing by 6 points when quarterback Junior Ramirez got the ball to Tyrese Dawson for a touchdown.  Ramirez then connected with Emilio Lovato for a 64 yard touchdown and took in the last touchdown himself putting the Rams up by eight points.
Moriarty had opportunities to get into the end zone but they were shot down by the Ram defense, and a final quarterback sack by Jeremie Karnbaye for a Ram victory 21-13.  This is the first year for Moriarty in Class 4A and the first match between the Rams and Pintos who were undefeated coming into the game against the Rams.
The Rams will travel to Roswell to play NMMI Friday, November 4, 7:00 p.m. kickoff, for their final game before playoffs.
