President Jeff Gower of Eastern New Mexico University presented information to the members of Portales Altrusa International regarding Eastern New Mexico University.  He stated though enrollment is down (by only 12 students) ENMU is sitting very well in comparison to other higher education establishments in the state.

He also spoke highly of the State of New Mexico and how they see the importance if keeping our colleges up-to-date with their facilities.

Bond D will be on the ballot in November. For Bond D NO TAXES WILL BE INCREASED!  ENMU is looking for $8 million to begin updating the Science Center.  With every million spent, 10 jobs are created, gross receipt tax will benefit Roosevelt County and the City of Portales, not to forget local businesses as well.
