Portales Woman’s Club to Sponsor Spring Fling Shopping Event by: Sheryl Borden
Get ready to take advantage of some of the best shopping in Portales! Portales Woman’s Club is sponsoring its first annual Spring Fling Shopping event, and it begins on Friday, March 31st from 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Woman’s Club building, located at 309 West First Street.
The admission for attendees is one or more non-perishable canned food items which will be donated to the Eastern New Mexico Food Bank. Local vendors who are participating include: Mindy Widmann – Beauticontrol, Amanda Belcher – Xyngular, Sheryl Borden – Borden Decor Scrapbooks, Cami Howl – Pink Zebra, Amanda Cater – Perfectly Posh, Tasha Burris-Wall – Jamberry & Younique, Stephanie Pack – Mary Kay, Lisa Perkins – Dove Chocolates, Warren Funk – Horse Shoe Art Jewelry, Jackie Tomlinson – The Artisan Clover, Amanda Correon – Crocheted Items, Desiree Smith – LuLaRoe Clothing, Tabitha Leeth – Scentsy, Laura Jones – Painter & Young Living Oils, Breanna Hernandez – Damsel in Defense, and Christy Hood – Rodan & Fields. There is room for one additional vendor if interested.
Portales Woman’s Club celebrated its 114th anniversary in January and is part of the General Federation of Women’s Club organization, the largest volunteer women’s organization in the world.
The club provides local scholarships, sends sophomore students to the Hugh O’Brien Youth Foundation seminar, delivers Meals on Wheels, serves the meal for the Roosevelt County Fair Pioneers Association, and sponsors the Flower Show during the Fair.
