Good morning, I wanted to provide an update on the current Black Water Well
Field electrical power outage. City Staff continue working diligently to
maintain production with the great help we have received from Xcel and
Roosevelt County Electric Coop as well as many others. As of this morning
the Johnson hill tank level was 25.4 feet. Power was restored to the well field
overnight and Staff is working to assess the wells to ensure an efficient
transition and improvement in production. I will continue to respectfully ask
for the community’s assistance in conserving water during this time as we
work to bring the tank levels to the optimum operational level. As information
becomes available, I will provide updates through the usual channels of
communication. I would like to thank the community, staff, Xcel, Roosevelt
County Electric Coop., Diary Farmers of America, Mayor Miller, and City Council
for everything done to assist during this time. Thank you for your support and
patience during this emergency.
