Both Portales Baseball and Softball faced tough opponents on the weekend of April 26-27 with staggering results for both.
The Lady Rams faced Artesia in a double-header on April 26 at home. The Lady Rams unfortunately lost both games. The first was a shutout of 2-0 for Artesia, and the second, Portales was shutout again. The score of that game was 4-0. The Lady Rams are now 11-11, and 2-6 in district.
The Rams baseball team faced Goddard on the road on April 27 in a double-header also, and had worse results than the girls. Their games ended in staggering scores of 10-0 for both. Goddard shutout the Rams easily, and the games ended at the 10 runs for the Rockets. Portales baseball is now 9-12, and 0-5 in district.
