The Portales boys and girls hosted Goddard on February 14th for a district face-off. The girls game was first, and the Lady Rams proved to be a tough opponent for Goddard. With 3 of 4 periods of outscoring the Lady Rockets, Portales was able to get the win. The final score of the girls game was 64-57.
The boys game followed, and Portales was able to come out on top of a tough game. The Rams won 3 of the 4 periods, but only by narrow margins. They managed to keep the Rockets from overcoming their deficit though, handing the Rams a win of 69-59.
The girls are now 17-6 this season and the boys are 9-14.
