Portales (10-1) clinched their first playoff game against the Taos Tigers with a 41-11 win Friday night at Greyhound Stadium. The night would prove to be a standout performance by the Ram defense finishing with three interceptions and one fumble recovery. The offense, not to be overlooked, came back after Taos, in the first possession of the game, put three points on the board with a 30 yard field goal and responded with six touchdowns and five PAT’s.
The Rams (seeded second) advance to semi-finals next week against Robertson Cardinals (seeded third). The game will be played in Las Vegas on Saturday at 1:30.
