The Portales Rams went into the game against Carlsbad 11-6, looking to add another win to their season. The Rams and Cavemen played a close game, with Portales leading in the 1st and 2nd, but were outscored 17-8 in the 3rd. It left the Rams heading into the 4th behind, and after a tough period, they came out on top. The final score was 50-48 in Portales’ favor. The Rams are now 12-6 this season and are ranked number 10 in New Mexico 4A.
The Rams start district play soon, and are set to perform well with their winning record backing them up.
