On Sunday, November 24, 2024, the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office responded to the residence of
Portales Police Officer Jarvis Hall regarding a report of a domestic. Hall was subsequently arrested by
the responding deputies and booked into the Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office on charges relating to this
call.
The City of Portales and Portales Police Department take this matter seriously and have
immediately placed Hall on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the internal investigation,
as per policy. The Roosevelt County Sheriff’s Office is handling the criminal investigation and charges on
this matter and the City cannot comment on personnel matters.
