Portales Rams hosted Littlefield for a game following the C and JV teams games on December 20. The score went back and forth the entire game. Littlefield led after the end of the first period with a score of 20-16. Portales attempted to rally in the 2nd, and outscored Littlefield 14-12, but couldn’t make up the 4 point deficit. The teams went into half with a score of 32-30 with Littlefield on top.
The 2nd half proved to be a tough fight, much like the first, and the score went back and forth. Unfortunately, the Rams trailed in the 3rd after being outscored by Littlefield, and couldn’t make up the difference in the 4th, ending the game in a loss for Portales. The final score was 60-54 and the Rams are now 2-3 this season.
