The Portales Rams hosted Clovis for their first meetup this season. The game was on December 17 at 7 pm following JV. Clovis took an early lead over the Rams, finishing the first period 23-6. The Rams attempted to rally in the 2nd, but were outscored 19-15. At half, Portales was down 42-21.
In the 2nd half, Portales had mixed results, trailing again in the 3rd and rallying in the 4th with the Rams scoring 22 to Clovis’ 13. Despite Portales fighting back, it wasn’t enough to diminish the deficit, and Clovis came out on top 72-52. The Rams are now 2-2 this season. Their next game is December 20 against Littlefield at 6 pm.
