NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING

CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF PORTALES, NEW MEXICO

THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO ATTEND A REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETING OF THE PORTALES CITY
COUNCIL, which will be held starting at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at the Memorial Building
Auditorium (the big room), 200 E. 7th Street, Portales, New Mexico. Covid-19 social distancing and face
coverings restrictions will apply for the safety of attendees. The following item(s) is/are scheduled for
consideration and action by the City Council:

(D) Recommendation(s) from the Economic Development Finance Review Committee (EDFRC)
Meeting of July 16, 2020: – S. Standefer, City Manager.
1. Recommendation from the EDFRC for the Request for Economic Development
Incentive.
2. Resolution #20-21-01, Inducement Resolution, A Resolution Confirming an
Intention to Award $335,000.00 to Sterling Management Company, LLC.
3. Authorization of Execution of LEDA Award Participation Agreement between the
City of Portales and Sterling Management Company, LLC.
(E) Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Portales and the Village of Melrose for
a Transfer of 150 Acre-Feet of Annual Water Reservation for Ute Lake Project – S.
Standefer, City Manager.

(F) Request to Authorize Contract Attorneys Doerr & Knudson to take Legal Steps to Abate

Development Projects – J. Martinez-Terry, City Clerk.
(H) Other Business/Citizens to be Heard – Any matter not known about or which could not have been
reasonably foreseen prior to the time of posting of the agenda. A public body shall only act on items
