The Portales Rams hosted a baseball tournament to end the month of March. The Rams played 3 games in the tournament, facing Taos, Los Alamos, and Robertson (Las Vegas, NM).
The first game of the tournament that Portales played in was against Taos, who defeated the Rams by 1 run in an extra inning.
Los Alamos proved to be an even harder opponent, who defeated Portales by a score of 11-1. The Rams scored their sole run in the first inning, and didn’t score another run the entire game. It was a tough loss.
As Portales went into their final game of the tournament, they were lacking momentum, but after an extra inning, the Rams managed to score 1 run over Robertson. The final score was 8-7.
Portales Baseball is now 5-5 this season.
