Portales Fall Art Festival

In collaboration with The ENMU Art Department

The Portales Creative Group in collaboration with the Eastern New Mexico University (ENMU) Art Department is excited to announce the Portales Fall Art Festival, October 12, 2019 between 2 and 5 pm. Artists will be featured on the ENMU campus and in more than ten businesses in Portales. Visitors will have a chance to see some of the best art in the region and the opportunity to enjoy some of the best coffee, beer, food, fashion and more in Eastern New Mexico. Since the artists are inside establishments neither wind, rain nor heat will interfere with your enjoyment of the event.
Crystal Pritchett of the Portales Creative Group noted that the Fall Art Festival will draw on all the strengths of Portales: “ The Portales Creative Group exists to connect creative people to promote all artistic endeavors, ENMU has an incredible art and design program, and the merchants represent what it means to be New Mexico True. This is going to be a great day to walk around the Square, visit the ENMU campus, and enjoy lunch or dinner in town.”

ENMU Professors Scott Golem and Alla Parsons see the collaboration as a positive for their program, students and ENMU: “This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our program, have our students interact with professional artists in the community, and build stronger ties with local businesses. Visitors to campus will see not only student art but the great facilities ENMU offers.

We look forward meeting the community and hopefully future students, as well, on October 12th.”
