“Jamani has established himself as one of the most versatile forwards in Division II,” ENMU Head Coach Tres Segler said. “He possesses the ability to shoot pick and pop threes as well as punish opponents down in the low post area. In an era of college basketball where forwards tend to gravitate to one extreme or the other, Jamani is a rare blend of all skill-sets. He will also bring a toughness and physicality to our team that will prove extremely helpful in the Lone Star Conference. Jamani’s speed and ball handling ability will force larger defenders to adjust to his style of play, and we are hopeful that he will make an impact even against larger defenders. He is a very focused young man, and he plans to graduate in his last year of eligibility here with the Greyhounds. His family is incredibly excited about him being a part of the ENMU program, and we are blessed to have them as a part of our extended Greyhound Nation.”

Last season at Clarion, Pierce produced 13.8 points/game and 5.9 boards, shooting at a 35% clip from beyond the arc. In 26 games with the Golden Eagles, the Harvey, Ill., native notched 18 games in double-figures, including a 29-point outburst against Carlow. Prior to his time at Clarion, Pierce hooped at Illinois Central Junior College where he earned All-Region and All-Conference accolades.

The Greyhounds return six players from last season’s 13-15 squad. Head Coach Tres Segler led the Green and Silver to the most Lone Star Conference wins as a first-year head coach during the 2016-17 campaign. Additionally, Segler’s Hounds had the third-most wins under a first-year head coach.
