Hello, my name is Ginger. I am a 2–4-year-old female American Pitbull Terrier. I was found wandering around, so the humans here don’t know much about me. I know that I may look a bit rough and kind of dirty, but I’ve always heard that you shouldn’t judge a book by the cover. The humans tried to brush me and get me cleaned up, but I was just too excited to get all the pets, that I couldn’t sit still! I admit that I can be a diva occasionally and whine when I am not getting attention, but who wouldn’t want to pet me all day long? A princess like me deserves love every second of every day. I would love to find a home where I can be adored like I deserve. I mean, just look at my adorable face and love filled eyes! Who wouldn’t want such a magnificent dog by their side?

The Portales Police Department provides full-service animal control to all residents within the Portales city limits. Animal Control Officers attend state certification classes and are trained to handle calls for service that involve domestic animals or wildlife. The Division provides patrol service six days per week and may be called out after hours in case of an emergency.
