Obituary

Funeral services for Patricia “Pat” Lee, 64, of Portales, will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Tues., Dec. 8, 2020 at the Central Christian Church with Pastor Don Thomas officiating.  Burial will follow in the Portales Cemetery with John Yeast, Quade Lee, Rob Newell, Michael Lee, Mark Usrey and Jim Lucero serving as pallbearers.

Patricia Ann Lee was born Aug. 2, 1947, in Clovis, NM to the home of Margaret Laverne (Payne) and Richard Gale Page, and died Dec. 2, 2020 at her home in Portales.  Pat grew up in Portales, and graduated from Portales High School in 1965.  On Nov. 5, 1965 at the First United Methodist Church in Portales, she was married to Eugene Lee.  In 1980 she went to work in Dr. Hinderliter’s Veterinarian Office.  In 1992, when he closed the clinic, she went to work in the Veterinary Office at the Air Force Base.  She had been retired since 2002.  She and her husband worked together to raise a large chili crop to sell each year, and also sold pecans from their trees.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Kaye Lee of Springfield, MO; a grandson, Kyle Quade Lee; and a sister, Linda Gayle Clements of Melrose, NM.  She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bill Page and by her beloved husband, Eugene, who died Dec. 7, 2016 after more than 51 years of marriage.
