AUSTIN, TEXAS — One week after hosting the first track meet at Eastern New Mexico University since the 1970’s, the Greyhounds continued their strong start. At the University of Texas Relays, both Marcus Parker and Kenneth Lloyd posted provisionally qualifying marks for the NCAA Championships.

Lloyd placed second in the high jump, with a leap of 6’10.75″. His jump edged Oklahoma’s Carl Willliams and South Dakota’s Zach Anderson and Deshonn Brown by two inches.

With a time of 10.31, Parker placed ninth in the first round of the 100m dash. His time edged Jackson State’s Justin Thomas by just .01. Parker is the only NCAA Division II athlete to qualify for the event’s finals, which will be held tomorrow.
