Obituary

A rosary for Pablo Rodriguez, 39, of Portales will be held at 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, February 2,2022, at the Wheeler Mortuary Chapel.  Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, February 3, 2022, at St. Helen Catholic Church with Fr. Francisco Carbajal officiating.  Burial will follow in the Elida Cemetery with Alma Rodriguez, Ricky Cisneros, Fernando Calderon, Rauly Puebla, Gustavo Rodriguez, Justin Norman, Kegan Rodriguez and Aaron Pena serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be all of his cousins, other family members and his many friends.

Pablo David Rodriguez was born on December 30, 1982, in Tulia, Texas, to the home of Manuela (Baeza) and Gustavo Rodriguez, and died on January 26, 2022.

Pablo was raised in Elida and graduated from Elida High School in 2001.  He married Lupy Garcia in 2009 in Portales.  He worked in the dairy industry for over 20 years.  He would always say “The road was his home.”  Pablo was always laughing and was well known for his smile.  He really enjoyed fishing and loved the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Alabama Crimson Tide.  Pablo loved his family very much; he would give anything for his mother.  He was a loving husband, father, brother and son and will be greatly missed.

Pablo is survived by his wife Lupy Rodriguez; his children, Ricky Cisneros, Carlos Cisneros, Luis Cisneros, Kegan Rodriguez and Bre’ann Rodriguez; his brother, Gustavo Rodriguez; his sisters, Alma Rodriguez and Rocio Bernabe; his two dogs, Miss Strait and Marina Del Rey, and numerous other family members.
